The Mission

We’re looking for a Head of Engineering & AI who can turn ambition into architecture, someone who can lead with both heart and code.

You’ll guide a 30-member engineering team through our next phase of growth: scaling systems, infusing AI across products, and shaping the digital backbone of Pakistan’s learning future.

What You’ll Build and Lead

• Define the Future: Build and execute Taleemabad’s tech and AI roadmap to reach millions.
• Lead the Builders: Grow and inspire a high-performing, mission-driven engineering team.
• Architect for Scale: Oversee secure, cloud-based platforms (AWS, PTCL Cloud) built for growth.
• Make AI Work for Learning: Lead AI integration from LLMs and RAG to adaptive learning models.
• Champion Quality: Embed excellence across CI/CD, testing, DevOps, and agile delivery.
• Partner for Impact: Collaborate with Product, Learning, and Data teams to deliver elegant solutions.
• Guard the System: Ensure reliability, compliance, and performance at scale.
• Stay Hands-On: Review architecture, write code, and keep your pulse on the craft.

Your Toolkit

• 10+ years in software engineering, with 5+ in leadership
• Mastery of backend scalability and modern frontend frameworks
• Experience building complex, cloud-native systems
• Proven work with AI/ML, LLMs, RAG, and generative models
• Fluency in AWS (PTCL Cloud is a plus)
• Skilled in agile and distributed team leadership
• Strong communicator, system thinker, and culture builder

Bonus Points:

Experience in EdTech or mission-driven ecosystems

Deployed AI features in live environments

Familiar with infrastructure-as-code and automated scaling
