Key Responsibilities

• Dashboard Development & Design: Build, maintain, and optimize high-impact, interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau.
• Data Modeling: Design and implement efficient and scalable dimensional data models (e.g., star schema) to ensure optimal reporting performance and usability.
• SQL & Query Optimization: Write, troubleshoot, and optimize complex SQL queries across various database platforms (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake) to extract and transform data.
• Data Validation & QA: Conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure 100% data accuracy in all deliverables. Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions with stakeholders to obtain formal sign-off.
• ETL & Data Pipeline Development: Develop, maintain, and document data preparation processes using tools such as Power Query, Tableau Prep, or similar technologies.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders and project managers to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and provide consistent progress updates.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including data dictionaries, business requirement matrices, measure definitions, and user guides.

Qualifications & Required Skills

• Ability to work in CST (7PM Pakistan time to 3AM Pakistan Time)
• Proven professional experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, or similar role.
• Expert proficiency in SQL is mandatory.
• Strong hands-on experience with both Power BI and Tableau for dashboard and report development.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas).
• Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a proven track record of delivering accurate and validated data products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills (A Plus)

• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
• Experience with data integration tools (e.g., SSIS, Matillion, Fivetran).
• Knowledge of a programming language such as Python or R for data analysis.
• Experience in a client-facing or consulting role.
