Job Description
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Junior QA Engineer with 6 months to 1 year of experience in manual and basic automation testing. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, understands software testing fundamentals, and is eager to learn modern QA practices and tools.
Key Responsibilities- Understand product requirements and translate them into test cases
- Perform manual testing of web applications and mobile apps (functional, regression, smoke testing)
- Identify, document, and track bugs using bug-tracking tools
- Collaborate closely with developers and product teams
- Validate fixes and ensure high-quality releases
- Assist in creating and maintaining test documentation
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Required Skills & Qualifications- 6 months to 1 year of experience in software testing
- Strong understanding of QA fundamentals and SDLC/STLC
- Experience with manual testing for web applications
- Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (JIRA, ClickUp, Trello, etc.)
- Basic understanding of API testing (Postman preferred)
- Good analytical, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to Have- Basic experience with test automation (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
- Knowledge of JavaScript or any scripting language
- Experience testing MERN / React / Next.js applications
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to performance or security testing
- Experience using AI tools for QA (test case generation, bug analysis, automation assistance)
