Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Solutions Architect (10+ years) with a proven track record of architecting complex, large-scale enterprise systems. The ideal candidate is a strategic technology leader who can design end-to-end solutions, lead multi-functional technical teams, ensure architectural governance, and deliver scalable, secure, and robust platforms that align with organizational goals.

This role requires deep expertise across cloud platforms, application architecture, systems integration, data engineering, DevOps, and enterprise security. The architect will be accountable for architectural decisions, best practices, technology strategy, and the successful execution of major business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture Leadership & Strategy

• Lead the architecture function for major enterprise programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational constraints, and long-term technology roadmap.

• Define and document system architecture, integration patterns, infrastructure blueprints, and technical standards.

• Provide expert architectural oversight across cloud, application, data, security, DevOps, and infrastructure domains.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and propose innovations to improve scalability, flexibility, and efficiency.

Solution Design & Governance:

• Architect scalable and secure end-to-end solutions across microservices, distributed systems, APIs, cloud-native components, and legacy integrations.

• Conduct architecture reviews, ensure compliance with enterprise standards, and guide teams through design decisions.

• Develop detailed architectural artifacts: high-level designs (HLD), low-level designs (LLD), sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams, integration mappings, and deployment architecture.

• Define architectural principles, coding standards, and best practices for engineering teams.

Technical Leadership & Team Management:

• Mentor, guide, and oversee multiple cross-functional engineering teams including backend, frontend, DevOps, cloud, QA, and data engineering.

• Provide technical direction, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure high-quality implementation.

• Facilitate collaboration between engineering, product management, stakeholders, and external partners.

• Train and develop junior architects, senior developers, and tech leads.

Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure:

• Architect multi-cloud and hybrid solutions using AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, including compute, storage, networking, IAM, security, CI/CD, and monitoring.

• Design scalable, fault-tolerant architectures based on business continuity goals, disaster recovery, and zero-downtime requirements.

• Leverage containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, GKE) for modern application delivery.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).

Integration & API Architecture:

• Design complex integration solutions using REST, GraphQL, gRPC, message queues, event-driven systems, and service mesh architectures.

• Architect secure API ecosystems including API gateways, throttling policies, authentication/authorization, and governance.

• Oversee enterprise service bus (ESB), middleware, API management platforms, and legacy system integrations.

• Data Architecture & Security

• Define data architecture for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data flows.

• Work closely with data engineering teams on data warehouse/lake, ETL pipelines, real-time processing, and analytics platforms.

• Implement robust security frameworks, identity and access management, encryption strategies, and compliance standards (ISO, GDPR, SOC, HIPAA depending on domain).

Project Execution & Stakeholder Management:

• Lead end-to-end technical planning, risk management, feasibility analysis, and technology selection for large-scale initiatives.

• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and executives to align requirements with architectural design.

• Ensure timely delivery of architectural deliverables, technical POCs, solution prototypes, and performance benchmarks.

• Communicate architectural decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications Professional Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in software architecture, enterprise architecture, or

solutions architecture roles.

• Proven leadership experience in delivering complex, multi-tiered, enterprisescale solutions.

• Strong background in systems design, cloud architecture, integrations, distributed systems, and microservices.

Technical Expertise:

• Expert-level knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud (multi-cloud or hybrid preferred).

• Strong experience in modern architecture patterns: microservices, serverless, event-driven, CQRS, DDD, and API-first design.

• Robust understanding of infrastructure, networking, security, and DevOps practices.

• Hands-on experience with major programming languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript/Node.js, Python, or Go. 

• Strong database expertise: relational (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra).

• Experience with integration platforms, message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and containerization.

• Skilled in IaC tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi.

Architectural & Soft Skills:

• Exceptional analytical, architectural modelling, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong experience preparing architectural documentation, diagrams, and solution proposals.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to make sound architectural decisions balancing business needs, cost constraints, and technical feasibility.

• Strong leadership presence; capable of influencing without authority.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in large-scale digital transformation programs.

Certifications:

o AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

o Azure Solutions Architect Expert

o Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect

o TOGAF, ITIL, or SAFe certifications.

• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and tools (TOGAF, ArchiMate, Sparx EA).

• Experience leading architecture review boards or governance committees.

• Experience in regulated domains (finance, healthcare, legal, public sector).
