Senior LAMP Stack/PHP Core Developer with React, Angular, and Team Lead Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of 3-4 developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and code reviews
• Contribute to the development of our core platform using Laravel framework
• Develop scalable, efficient, and well-documented PHP code
• Work with front-end frameworks React and Angular to build responsive and interactive user interfaces
• Design and implement database schema and queries using MySQL and PHP ORM facilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, DevOps, and Product Management
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality code and adherence to coding standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including performance optimization and debugging
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment of code to AWS
• Implement caching mechanisms using Redis to improve application performance

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in LAMP Stack development
• Strong proficiency in PHP, with experience in developing scalable and efficient code
• Experience with front-end frameworks React and Angular
• Strong understanding of database design and development using MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Experience with AWS, including deployment, scaling, and management
• Familiarity with Redis, including implementation and management
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience leading small teams
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar technical field
• Experience working with containerization tools such as Docker
• Has delivered, or worked, with both a browser and Mobile UI delivery team
• Demonstrated use of modern AI/ML enabled delivery and use of advanced open source and public cloud tools to reduce manual code and improve code quality

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code principles
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, or similar tools
• Familiarity with Pipeline Orchestration tools such as Jenkins, or similar tools
• Familiarity with automated code security and quality tools
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience with security auditing
• Experience with cloud-based services, including AWS Lambda, S3, and CloudFront
• Worked with one or more popular open-source Service Mesh platform such as Istio, Linkerd, Consul, Envoy, Kuma, Open Service Mesh (OSM)
• Worked with one or more API gateway
• Familiarity with the OWASP 10
