The extreme emergency situations include: COVID-19; Lotus Attack ‘20; Monsoon Rains ‘21; Heat Wave ‘22 and Monsoon Rains ‘22.
Every year (since 2006), the Pakistan Software House Association (P@SHA) holds the industry’s biggest event; the annual ICT Award ceremony, that attracts IT companies and service providers from all over Pakistan and honors them for their unparalleled contributions in Pakistan’s information technology sector.
This year, Dice Analytics was privileged to have been nominated by the honorable P@SHA ICT Awards committee for its pioneering Disaster Management System in the Government and Citizens service category.
Inside the Award-winning Disaster Management System
Dice Analytics was awarded for its invaluable and distinctive contribution in serving the nation (1st instance during COVID-19) when it diligently produced a software solution that collected, transformed and analyzed pandemic data from all across Pakistan. Demonstrating its engineering wit, the domain experts at Dice Analytics crafted this solution such that it can be made adaptive to any kind of disaster management.
The product of the software are actionable insights that has been helping the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in concurrent decision making for providing relief efforts to the nation.
Named as National Disaster Decision Support System (NDDSS), the paradigm of this analytics platform is based on the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software that digitizes all functional processes of NDMA. By bringing enterprise’s processes over the digital, NDDSS empowered its client to closely examine disaster mitigation and recovery efforts.
As for the case of COVID-19 disaster management, the Resource Management System- RMS (a core analytics component of NDDSS) was adopted to a connected web of 4000 hospitals all across Pakistan. Taking pandemic related data (the number of patients, beds, ventilators, paramedics, and oxygen etc,) the RMS enriched this data with information from NDMA’s ERP system, and created a data-driven ecosystem within NDMA through its Dashboards and Reporting mechanism.
Dice Analytics is greatly humbled to have bestowed with P@SHA’s invaluable recognition towards its dedicated efforts of raising the bar in the IT service delivery across the whole IT sector in Pakistan.
